5.3.10. Tournament Organizations

One of Gameness platform's core features is providing professional-grade tools for tournament organization. Gameness enables gamers, esports teams, agencies, professional tournament organizers, university clubs, and game publishers to prepare, customize, and host tournaments using an extensive set of professional tournament management tools.

Tournament Setup and Customization:

  • Organizers can specify tournament names, select games, add descriptions, and define rules.

  • Custom branding: Organizers can add their logos and branding elements.

  • Set minimum and maximum participant numbers, with optional restrictions based on country/region, user tier, or skill level.

Participation Management and Rules:

  • If minimum participation requirements aren't met, organizers have several options:

    • Reschedule the tournament to allow more participants.

    • Lower the minimum participant requirement and notify existing participants.

    • Cancel the tournament, with the option for participants to assume the role of new organizers.

Scheduling Flexibility:

  • Organizers control registration periods and can set subsequent round schedules, allowing players breaks between rounds.

Core Organizational Concepts: The following components define the structure and setup of tournaments:

  • Portfolio

  • Rule Book

  • Tournament Formats

  • Tournament License

  • Participation Estimates

  • Sponsor Contributions

  • Stages/Rounds

  • Fixtures and Results

  • Prize Distribution

  • Broadcast Rights and Host Management

Additional Tournament Settings: Organizers can invite specific teams, set tournament rules and prize distribution, and allow sponsored prizes (NFTs, assets) in the prize pool. As Gameness supports multiple game types, rules can be tailored to each tournament.
